There is a version of a dinner party where the host spends the evening at the stove and joins the table cold. There is another where a chef cooks in your kitchen, plates each course, clears down and leaves — and you were at the table the whole time. This is the second one, in Burlington.
How it runs
Claire arrives before your guests with the shopping done. She cooks in your kitchen, plates the courses to the rhythm of the evening, and leaves the kitchen the way she found it. A standard home kitchen is all that is needed.
The menu is yours
Built around the occasion and the guest list: the anniversary, the friend who is vegetarian, the dish the birthday person has been talking about for a year. Simple, elegant food, cooked properly. Send the requirements and the mood you are after at the quote stage and the menu comes back written for the night.
Plated or family-style
Plated courses suit a sit-down evening where the food carries the occasion. Family-style platters suit a longer, looser table where people reach and pass. Both are available; the enquiry form asks which you prefer, or leave it to Claire.
Drop-off, if you would rather
If you do not want anyone cooking in the house, the same menu can arrive ready to serve. It is the lighter-touch version and works well for relaxed dinners and showers.
Timing
Advance notice is recommended for events, and popular dates fill early. Send the date as soon as it is fixed; the headcount and menu can follow.
Burlington, Oakville, Milton and the GTA
Private dinners are catered across Halton and the west GTA, as well as Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph.
